He voted against two development projects that would have destroyed landmark 19th century homes on S. 5th Ave that give character and charm to this near downtown neighborhood. Nearly every City Council candidate claims they support strong neighborhoods, but few back up those campaign words with actions. Most in fact, at least in recent years, have done the opposite. Mike Anglin, on the other hand, has been a strong, consistent voice on City Council for preserving and strengthening Ann Arbor's treasured neighborhoods. When our neighborhood was faced with one inappropriate development proposal after another, Mike stood up to the developers and their friends on Council and stopped them. Without Mike and our other allies on Council, our neighborhood would now be facing the wrecking ball on both ends of Fifth Avenue.
